TOPS

Yesterday was a day that wasn't out of the ordinary. Got up late...go figure, went to work, went to class (was bored out of my mind), and then to TOPS. TOPS is a weight-loss support group: Take Off Pounds Sensibly. It is a group where we weigh in every week. If we lose, we are celebrated and if we gain, we pay our fine ($0.20/pound) and we help discuss what we can do to change our habits. I love it cause it is more a group about life style changes and not about dieting. I was really excited, we didn't meet last week because of Thanksgiving, so over the 2 week time frame (remember Thanksgiving was in there), I lost a half of a pound. I was the only one that lost!!! Woot!

After TOPS, I went home and read...I should have worked out, but I didn't...I really need to find my motivation. Maybe this week will help, we started the "Weight Loss Olympics" this week and the event for the week is "Figure Walking". If you walk the most miles in the week, you get a prize.

Other than that, I had qualified for another trip. They gave it away this morning and I didn't win, but I didn't think I would. Two free trips in one year is a little TOO lucky. But don't worry, I am in a drawing for $1000 tonight. I am going to win that. ;)

Short and Sweet

Nothing interesting has happened since my last post. I wasn't good at all last night, went home, watched "National Treasure", and then uploaded photos so I could get prints. Thought about working out, but the thought never got put into action.

Fatherhood!

So, I know that two posts in one day is a little extreme, but I had a piece of information I wanted to share.

After reevaluating our situation and the circumstances, we have decided to hold off on buying a puppy. I really do want a puppy, but the timing just isn't right.

Anyway, that wasn't the piece of news I wanted to share, but this is: My brother is going to be a daddy!!! Woo-woooo!

Siberian Huskies!!!

OMG! So, Andy and I have been talking about getting a puppy for a while now. We both really want a Siberian Husky, and have been keeping an eye out for some here in the Boise area. This morning when I checked my email, there was a notification that someone was selling 6 here in the Boise area for only $500 when they normally run closer to $1000. Now I am not so sure. Can we really afford it? Will it be too much of a distraction from school? But they are sooooooo cute.

Now some of my coworkers are trying to talk me out of it and they have good points, but they are so cute and we have both been wanting a dog for a while. Bleh.

Other than that, I have an Accounting exam today that I studied for last night, so between that, late class, driving home in the snow and making dinner, I ran out of time and didn't work out last night. In addition to that, I was high on my calories. Oh well, today will be better.

So much to do!

I left the house yesterday and forgot to grab my phone, so as I was on my way home last night, I had no one to talk to, like I normally do. So, I began to make a list. This list started as a priority list for when I arrived home, then began going into what needed done in the next few days. What classes I have homework in, tests I need to study for, people I need to call, etc. Every time I would stop at a stoplight, I would end up writing 3 or 4 things down. Well, by the time I got home, my list ended up being 28 items. Bleh. Perfect timing is that as I was realizing how long this list was getting, that new Fred Meyer commercial came on, "Too many things to do this holiday season, why not head to Fred Meyer." Too bad all my things can't get done there. I must say that actually getting everything written down, was a HUGE relief.

Other than a massive to-do list, I am EXTREMELY excited!!! Although it is entirely up to God, Andy and I kind of have our next two years planned out. We are both currently attending classes at Boise State University in addition to working full time, so it's a little stressful, but will be worth it. Anyway, if everything stays on track and things go according to plan, I will be graduating on May 16, 2009. A year and a half left! At which point, Andy and I are finally going to take our honeymoon/graduation trip. I found the tour yesterday that I want!!! It is a 19 day, 18 night tour through Europe. You start in London and end in London, but locations you visit along the way include Amsterdam, Brussels, Venice, Rome, Pompeii, Pisa, & Paris!!! We just have to get VERY serious about saving up for it. I have got ourselves on a budget now.

Also at that point and time, I have finally gotten Andy to somewhat agree that we can start trying to have a baby. This means that I finally have to get serious about making myself more healthy. I have been starting in baby steps. There was a six month period where I didn't drink caffeine at all, and although I don't think I am going to go that extreme again, I am going to try to cut back. Also, I have started working out in small increments. I am going to try and keep my workout "diary" on here. Maybe people can help me with the accountability factor.
