Day 1 - Weight Loss Journey

Exercise:

This morning I was supposed to wake up at 5am, have about a 15-20 min wake up session in front of the PC and begin day one of my 'Couch to 5k' program...REALITY: 5am alarm went off, hit snooze 5 times, alarm no longer snoozes, don't get up until 6am.  Well, that sucked.  Since I didn't have much time, rather than beginning the 'Couch to 5k' program this morning, instead, I completed my 'fitness evaluation' for The Biggest Loser Kinect Game.  My program is now setup for my 'Couch to 5k' off-days.  Tomorrow...tomorrow I will get up and go for a run outside.

Food:

Okay, Michelle, this one's for you. I took pictures of everything I ate today. Some of my choices weren't the best, but I managed to stay under my calorie allocation for the day. Though I could really use some of the Reece's Peanut Butter cups that are sitting on top of my fridge. =(

For breakfast, I had a wonderful packet of Weight-Control Cinnamon Spice Oatmeal.

Lunch included a Salmon and Basil Lean Cuisine & a Nectarine.

Forgot to take a picture until I had already started these.  Walgreen's Brand 'Nice' Sunflower Seeds, low sodium and a large serving size.  When 'snacky' these are the perfect option!

Needed a little more fuel around 4pm.

Dinner: We had pizza this weekend and had leftovers that needed eaten.  I had one slice of pepperoni and one of 'The Works'.  Also had 2/3rds of a bottle of Gatorade I had started drinking yesterday.

Then decided to share a bowl of blueberries with Owen for 'dessert'.

My entire food diary for the day.  Although bad choices, managed to stay under my daily goal.

Emotionally:

I still seem to be mostly positive today.  There were a couple brief moments of 'woe' when someone mentioned Olive Garden had a 20% coupon for lunch this week.  Also, when I think of the candy on top of the fridge that I can't have.

Weight Loss Journey

After having my son two years ago, I was the highest in weight I've ever been.  Last year, I managed to turn things around and made some lifestyle changes that helped me to lose around 35 lbs.  I was able to shop in the regular size section of stores for the first time in years and it was so exciting (tops only, but hey, that's still exciting), but with 65 lbs still to go, I lost motivation.  Over the last 9 months or so, I've managed to slowly put the weight back on.

This last month or two has been really tough.  Due to some circumstances, losing weight just hasn't been a priority at all.  In fact, from 6/1 to 7/15, I gained 15 lbs.  This put me right back to where I was when I finished my pregnancy with Owen.  And what I mean by that is, my last doctor's checkup BEFORE I went into labor.

On 7/16, I recorded my weight as 269.80.  It's sad and depressing.  Especially since all my 'reward' clothes I purchased last year no longer look good when I wear them.  Since then, I have got an upper respiratory infection so I have not been able to begin exercising as I had hoped.

Things have started to clear up, so I'm hopeful to begin the Couch 2 5k program in the morning and although I haven't done anything to lose weight, decided to see where I 'stand' with the scale this morning...263.00!  6.80 lbs gone.  That makes me feel a little better about the journey ahead but that still means I have 108lbs to go.

I'm going to try to record my journey on here, though I've never been too sucessful with blogging in he past.  We shall see.  I use My Fitness Pal if any of you would like to help police me.  Username: angelobello7.  Any feedback is welcome!

Frizz-Ease® Sheer Solution™ Lightweight Frizz Control

I have the type of hair that has some curly/waviness to it naturally, so being able to 'quickly' do my hair is not always an option and I often find myself just pulling it back into a bun.  With the Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution, I found myself being able to add it to my hair and go.  It helped to eliminate the frizziness that my hair typically develops when I let it dry by itself.

When I had the time to put a little more into my hair and straighten it, it was also a great addition to help smooth away the 'fly-aways'.

The only problem I came across was if I accidentally applied a greater concentration to one area, my hair would seem greasy.  I found that if I spread the Frizz-Ease around my palms before running my hands through my hair, it seemed to be the most effective application.

I will definitely be purchasing the Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution in the future after my free sample from BzzAgent is gone!
