Thanks for the little extra push, Sharlee!
What to say? What to say? Well, TOPS was VERY interesting. I had gained 7 pounds!!! BUT, the next meeting didn't end up being for another two weeks and I had lost 6.5 pounds then. Headed in the right direction. I have started doing my pilates again. I had read in a book that when you exercise, you are supposed to warm up, do weight training first and then cardio. They also said that is what you should do when you are first starting to exercise, and I know my pilates had helped me in the past, so that is what I have been doing. I already feel better and I am especially more aware of my posture.
Got my grades back for the term. I am happy to say I made it through those classes! I received 3 Bs, 1 B- and 1 A-. Not too shabby if I do say so myself! Classes start again on the 22nd. I am definitely enjoying the break.
Um, other than that, I now come to my excuse as to why I haven't posted in a while. The last two weeks have been STRESSFUL!!! We, Natasha and I were working on the month-end close, but since it is January, we are also working on the year-end close. It wouldn't have been so bad cause Natasha and I are pretty thorough each month in making sure we accrue for everything that needs accrued for, but we found that the entire year, we weren't coding our costs to the appropriate GL bucket, so I had to go through the entire GL for the year and recode everything. Also, the external auditors for the company come next week, so we were also preparing everything for them. So, needless to say, when Andy and I went and had margaritas last night...they were very much needed. The plan was another like our last date...On the Border appetizers, a couple of margaritas and a movie, but we slipped in some dessert too and that made me sooooooooooo full! It was so uncomfortable! We decided to skip the movie, go to Walmart, buy a couple movies and head home to watch them. We also knew we would have to be up early today as we are watching my sister's kids.
So that is where we are at. My sister dropped the boys off this morning at 7am. We watched one Indiana Jones movie while we waited for Andy to get up and then for me to get ready. Packed up our two laptops and misc things we would need to work on their computers. Then headed out to their house. Made them do the things their mom said they needed to do (ie. dishes & cleaning their room). Tajjer man had to pack a bag cause he is staying at a friends house tonight. We then packed them all up and headed to Best Buy to find a couple things that their oldest would need to fix his computer. It wasn't broken but it needed wireless internet capabilities and he has been bugging us for a while to get things that will upgrade his pc and make it faster. While Andy had the two oldest looking at pc things, the youngest was getting anxious just holding onto my hand so I asked if he wanted to go look at washers & dryers with me and he ended up having a lot of fun opening all the display refrigerators and all the display ovens and all the display washers & dryers and hey, it kept him occupied while they were busy elsewhere. Also didn't have to worry about him pulling things off the shelves.
Made it back to the house right as my sister called saying that Taj's friend's mom was ready to pick up Tajjer man. So we barely got into the house when they pulled up and took Taj. Then I coerced the little one back to take a nap (he was a grouch!), but ended up joining him myself. Now we are just waiting for the parental units to arrive home. The oldest is watching another Indiana movie (after we fought with him to read his book), and the youngest is still sleeping.
My cousin's wife had their baby on the 8th and I got to go and see them. He is a little cutie! Big, but a cutie!
I did get my camera last week, but I haven't had much of an opportunity to use it yet. And I did finally help Andy to realize the many wonderful attributes of a Dyson vacuum cleaner, so that is what we spent all our Best Buy dollars on.
Here are a few pictures from mostly Christmas:
My sister Michelle. She probably wouldn't appreciate me posting the capture of her lovely moment.
My brother, Jason. Making Bruschetta.
My sister, Nicole, with my grandma in the background and Jaden, my brother's fiance's son.
My lovely mother.
My nephew, Cace. Otherwise known as the Cheshire cat.
Myself holding Gavin. Andy's sister's son.
Gavin again. I wanted to showcase his Santa suit.
Christi, Andy's sister.
Andy holding Gavin for the first time. He is not much of a baby person, so we finally managed to get him to hold him after 3 months.
I thought this was so cute!
Andy with Gavin and Shawn, Christi's husband.
I had to test my new camera, so I caught my husband doing exactly what he loves to do...play WoW.
My husband had to have a turn "testing" the camera.
My cousin's new son, Cohen Neal Evans! This is actually me holding him even.
